FAFSA

In order to be considered for financial assistance (federal, state, institutional), students must submit the following documentation:

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) electronically any time after October 1st. ENC’s federal school code is 002145. If possible, use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool when given the option on the FAFSA. Students should print a copy of the completed FAFSA and the confirmation sheet for their records. This form is required to be eligible for any federal or state aid. Institutional aid is awarded based on an evaluation of merit and need.  A complete institutional award package cannot be determined if the Office of Financial Aid does not receive a FAFSA.
  2. The FAFSA is usually the only form required for residents who may be eligible for a state grant. Some states, such as Vermont, may require a supplemental form in addition to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This supplemental form will be available through secondary school guidance offices or appropriate state agencies. Complete and send this supplemental application form to the appropriate agency by the deadline.
  3. Financial Aid requirements are determined upon the receipt of the FAFSA.  We will notify you of your requirements via e-mail, and we will also post your requirements on your student Portal, online at portal.enc.edu. To view your requirements on your Portal: log into your Portal with your ENC Net ID and password, select WebAdvisor for Students, then select Financial Aid.
  4. By completing the admission application and the FAFSA, the student has applied for federal, state, and institutional aid; no other application form is required. Once a student is accepted to ENC and has submitted the FAFSA and all additional documents or corrections, the student will receive their award packet containing Federal, State and Institutional aid for which they qualify. Freshman awarding begins in November, and awarding for returning students begins in May. To view your awards on your Portal: log into your Portal with your ENC Net ID and password, select WebAdvisor for Students – Financial Aid – Accept or Reject My Financial Aid Awards.
