Our First Year Experience program, Embark, is a three-part initiative intentionally designed so that every incoming student connects well, starts strong, and is equipped to flourish on the college journey.

The Countdown
In the months leading up to your arrival to campus, The Countdown will help you connect with fellow incoming students, identify supportive resources early at the college, and help make sure your business items are all set.
The Launch
Our new student orientation, The Launch, will connect you with the incredible students, staff, and faculty of ENC who can’t wait to welcome you to our tight-knit community. We’ll help you figure out what life is like in this quiet neighborhood of a world-class city, provide you with helpful resources, and make sure you’re ready for the journey ahead.
The Course
We’ve intentionally designed The Course programming to help you navigate the first semester of college. The Course includes:
- The First Year Foundations class, which focuses on personal and career exploration
- The First Year Workshops, which provide personal connections, resources, and skills specific to your major
- Enrichment Events, which provide targeted resources and connections to help you succeed
- Connection Events for new students to connect with one another and the Launch crew throughout the first semester
