Countdown to Move-In Day
August 24, 2024
The Countdown is designed to help you get started right!
Through The Countdown event and the checklist below, we’ll make sure that you’re all set before move-in day.
If you have any questions or run into trouble, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at admissions@enc.edu!
1
Your enrollment deposit confirms that you will be joining the ENC community and officially enrolls you as an ENC student. If you haven’t finalized your enrollment, this is where you will begin! The Admissions team is happy to answer any questions by phone 617-745-3711 or by email admissions@enc.edu.
2
Make sure to submit your final official high school and/or college transcripts to the Admissions office by mail or electronic submission (your previous school should be able to do this for you). Transfer students can also work with Admissions for questions about your transfer credit evaluation. Please contact us with any questions at 617-745-3711 or by email admissions@enc.edu.
3
You will need to activate your access to the ENC information hub, the Portal, to begin using important online resources such as your ENC email and accessing your student account details. You will receive important communications in your email and your Student Portal- not only will you want to set this up as soon as possible, but you will want to check your email regularly now that you are an ENC student! If you have any trouble setting up your account, please contact Information Technology Services at its-help@enc.edu or 617-745-3727.

ENC students complete either the Campus Housing or Commuter Application to inform the Housing Office of housing plans. This has an impact on your student bill, so it is important to complete the appropriate application as soon as possible to ensure an accurate bill. Whether you will be a residential student or commuter student, you will find lots of helpful information and help guides in the Housing and Res Life Resource Center. Please email reslife@enc.edu or call 617-745-3718 with any questions or if you run into any trouble. You will receive instructions from Res Life when the housing application opens sometime mid-summer.
5
We will need some health information from you, such as a recent physical, immunizations record, and health history. You can find information about health forms and how to submit them by clicking the button below. Please reach out to us at 617-745-3892 or healthservices@enc.edu if you have any questions.

You will want to make sure your Financial Aid is set up as soon as possible, and then begin checking your Student Account on the Student Portal to accept Financial Aid and set up your payment plans. If federal loans are part of your Financial Aid, you’ll also need to complete the required loan application documents and should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you haven’t done so. International students and students who do not qualify for federal aid should complete the ENC International FAFSA to apply for need-based aid through ENC.
You will find information about how to set up finances, and all necessary forms and documents on the ENC Financial Aid and Student Accounts webpages (below). We know that this part of the process can be challenging for many reasons. We are here to help you navigate this process and encourage you to reach out with questions or concerns without hesitation so that this aspect of the process does not become a barrier to you. We are eager to hear from you with finance-related questions at 617-745-3712 or by email at sfs@enc.edu.

The Registrar’s Office will set up your academic course schedule for you, in cooperation with the department head of your chosen major, to ensure you are meeting all necessary program requirements. Fall schedules will be ready to view in your Student Portal beginning mid-July. You will receive an email notification when your schedule is available. If you would like to change your major, please email registrar@enc.edu to let us know what new major you’d like to declare. Once we receive that email, your record will be updated.

You can check your progress on business items by viewing your personal Clearance Checklist in your Student Portal (we call the business items process the Clearance process). If you have any questions about parts of the process or how to navigate Clearance as a whole, the Clearance team is happy to assist you through email at clearance@enc.edu.
If you would like parents or someone else to be able to help with tasks and view your information (or help pay bills…), you will need to give them permission as we are not allowed to share information about you or give people access to your information without this permission. You can check out information about your rights and how to give Proxy access to others by clicking the button below. If you have questions after reviewing this information, you may reach out to StudentLife@enc.edu or 617-745-3718.

As you get closer to starting classes and perhaps moving onto campus, you will want to begin to think through logistics. Here is some information to get you started, and links to where you can find additional information.
Textbooks: We’ll take care of ordering your textbooks and access to online materials needed for the classes you are registered for. You will receive an email with information about this program and instructions for accessing the textbook portal.
