Why students love Religion
“I love being a part of the religion department as we have some of the best professors on campus! They care about us as people, not just as students. Also, the other students in the religion department are so unique; they truly care about you and support you. The religion department has definitely helped me grow, both spiritually and emotionally.”

Ministry is a unique calling. At Eastern Nazarene College, students answer their call in a supportive community built on faith and grounded in educational excellence. Students are provided with a rigorous curriculum and develop leadership skills, preparing them for their calling and deepening their faith.
Religion majors take core classes focused on biblical history, theology, and ministry. Courses like Survey of the History of Christianity, Doctrine of Holiness, and Senior Seminar expand their knowledge and provide hands-on experience so they may minister in innovative, creative and effective ways.
Additionally, students may augment the religion major by adding either a biblical literature or theology and philosophy track. The religion double major track affords students the opportunity to also major in social work (BA), communications arts (BA), journalism and writing (BA), or computer science (BA).
Class sizes are small to ensure students have the opportunity for community with professors and peers, engaged classroom discussion, and faculty-led research. At Eastern Nazarene College, the faculty takes interest in each and every student, helping them realize their calling and achieve their highest potential.
