Sarah Harrison Smongeski (1980, B.A. Music) was born in Sussex, UK (yes, as in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex). While that sounds intriguing, coming to the States as a child that was the real intrigue for Sarah who now lives one hour west of Boston. The daughter of parents who grew up in London during WWII, with stories of rations, closed schools, and bombs dropping, Sarah was the second (following her sister) in the family to graduate high school and attend college. Lacking a vision (and confidence) for what could be possible for her life, Sarah says, “My ENC professors supported and encouraged me as I struggled to find myself.â€Â Sarah has served for 29 years as Executive Director for a not-for-profit community school for the arts, growing the organization from a $40,000 annual budget to $450,000.  “While I’ve learned a great deal on the job, the grounding provided by a quality education based on Christian teachings is my grounding for leading, with purpose.â€
