QUINCY – Jennifer Adkins was appointed Director of Online Enrollment, a position at Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) that is the first of its kind. Adkins will spearhead enrollment efforts for the rapidly expanding online degree offerings, for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, allowing students to earn their ENC degree through a flexible, asynchronous online delivery.
Most recently, Adkins was the director of Traditional Admissions at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) in Ohio. In her nine years of experience, she has also held roles in Student Financial Services, Adult and Graduate Recruitment, and held the title of director of Dual Enrollment. Adkins received the Hospitality Award in 2019 after nomination by her colleagues. The esteemed award recognizes exceptional positivity and professionalism and is granted by the MVNU Board of Trustees.
Adkins brings a unique and important perspective to the role, having earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2017 and Master of Business Administration in Organizational Management in 2019 as an adult learner. Her personal experience not only shows what’s possible for an adult learner; it underscores the importance of completing one’s online degree with a holistic view of the challenges, determination, and triumphs associated.
Vice President for Enrollment Management Dr. Tim Eades says, “Jen is a professional and a perfect fit for this work at ENC. She hit the ground running in January, working hard to make sure our team and systems are ready to do big things in (academic year) 2024-25 with online enrollment. ENC is blessed to have Jen join our Enrollment Management team!”
Jennifer Adkins resides in Granville, Ohio with her husband, Doug. Together they have four children and one grandson. Adkins is “thrilled to be leading a team of experienced higher education professionals.” Working alongside on-campus partners, she is excited to share the excellent educational opportunities the College has to offer prospective students at any place in their educational journey.
