Eastern Nazarene College Will Host One Hundredth Commencement Ceremony May 7

May 2, 2022

Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) is pleased to announce its 100th Commencement, celebrating the graduates in the Class of 2022. The ceremony will be held on the Gardner Hall Lawn on Saturday, May 7 at 2:30 p.m. Family members and other loved ones are welcome to attend in person or to enjoy the ceremony through the livestream available on the college website.

“Commencement is always the most joyous day of the academic year, and the opportunity to celebrate together is one that we have learned not to take for granted,” said Dr. William McCoy, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College. “We give thanks to God for the lives of these graduates, for the ways in which they will embody ENC’s mission in the world around us, and for the chance to be together in celebration of all their achievements. My thanks also go to every ENC employee who has been working so hard to make this 100th Commencement a day of celebration for our graduates.”

The College is proud to have Dr. Gustavo Crocker, General Superintendent for the Church of the Nazarene, as the Commencement speaker. Originally from Guatemala, Dr. Crocker was previously a Fulbright scholar, the senior vice president for programs at World Relief Corporation, and the Eurasia regional director for the Church of the Nazarene. He is now the denomination’s presiding superintendent for the Eastern USA Field, East Central USA Field, and Mesoamerica region of the church.

This year’s Commencement will also include public recognition of Mr. Brad Thorne, ENC’s longtime director of counseling and career services who will be honored with emeritus status. To learn more, please visit https://enc.edu/commencement/.
