Eastern Nazarene College Announces Plans to Add Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse

Feb 5, 2020

Eastern Nazarene College announced today plans to add men’s and women’s lacrosse starting in the fall of 2020. During the 2020-2021 academic year, the teams will compete as club programs with NCAA Division III sponsorship beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year.

“I am excited to announce these new additions to the athletic department. Lacrosse has been on the college’s radar for a number of years. As one of the fastest growing sports for men and women at both the high school and college levels, plus strong interest from current students on campus, the decision to begin lacrosse at Eastern Nazarene College opens new opportunities for student-athlete participation,” said Brad Zarges, Director of Athletics.

Over the past 12 months, Eastern Nazarene College Athletics has enjoyed unprecedented success, winning five conference championships and automatic berths into the NCAA National Tournament. Men’s and women’s lacrosse increases the sport offerings to 17 programs.

Students interested in participating in lacrosse at Eastern Nazarene College are encouraged to contact the athletic department at 617-745-3639.
