This new minor is a dual effort between the areas of Sports Management and Life Science. Students will take courses such as Kinesiology, Physiology of Exercise and Anatomy and Physiology. This minor is a nice addition to students who are interested in athletic training, physical therapy and exercise science. Students will pair their course requirements with a variety of other options such as Principles of Leadership and Coaching, Substance Abuse and/or Psychology of Sport Management. This will allow students to be more versatile depending on what profession they choose.
Students will be well prepared for a career in athletic training, exercise science and personal training. Students will have the ability to enter different master’s programs associated with Kinesiology and Exercise Science. This strong foundation is of great interest to our athletes who wish to continue in a career that fulfills their academic goals and interests as well. Since this minor is brand new, we are excited to see where this path will take our students.
