Eastern’s Bachelor’s in Journalism and Writing program has been designed to help students gain the skills and knowledge they need to effectively and creatively tell stories. From print journalism and writing labs to creative writing and short stories, students within this program will learn how to best tell stories using a variety of styles and tones.

Students will also learn about editing, publishing and design to ensure that they have the knowledge they need to be fully prepared for their future careers.

Within this program, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor your degree to best fit your career goals. You’ll have the opportunity to choose between courses like Poetry Writing or Persuasion and Argumentation, Featuring Writing and Beat Reporting or Writing for Stage and Screen, Writing Autobiography or Promotional Writing, and more so that your degree best reflects your passions and future career.

Our small class sizes ensure that students have the opportunity for community with professors and peers, classroom discussion, faculty lead research projects and more.
