Jennie Doane joined the Department of Biology and Chemistry staff in fall of 2017 as the Health Professions Coordinator. She has previously served at a Compassionate Ministry Center in Syracuse, N.Y as the Director of Health Ministries and Outreach where she focused on health education, faith community nursing and was a district licensed minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Prior to this, she worked as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant RN. She is a certified Nurse Practitioner and educated Faith Community Nurse coordinator. She also has certifications in Chronic Disease Management, Quality Improvement, and End of Life Care. Her research interests include community health education and promotion, specifically in underserved areas. She is passionate about reaching underserved populations, as well as helping people discover and apply their passions and talents as well. Jennie resides in Quincy, MA with her husband and three children.
