Staff AccompanistDr. Brady Millican, artist-in-residence, has been a member of the ENC music faculty since 1979. He has a passion for helping all students (not just music majors) develop their musical interests through piano study. He shares the knowledge gained from a performing career in which he has twice appeared at the White House; concertized on the programs of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Houston Symphony Orchestra; given solo and chamber recitals in such venues as New York’s Carnegie and Alice Tully Halls, Boston’s Jordan Hall and Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre; and been a featured broadcast performer on NPR. A veteran of 10 European and South American tours, Millican has recorded for the Nonesuch, Keywind and Ivory Cove labels (click here for an excerpt from his recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations).

Dr. Millican has taught and lectured at Harvard University, Wellesley College, Loyola Merrymount University (Los Angeles), Fuller Theological Seminary and the Bucharest Academy of Music in Romania.

The New York Times praise for Dr. Millican for his “poetry and imagination… pianism of a high order.”

Nadia Boulanger (teacher of Aaron Copland), called him “a master of the piano”.
