Fusion: (The molding of two entities into one cohesive unit.) This program is designed to challenge a student’s approach to cross-cultural experiences. Students will be asked to wrestle with issues they are rarely exposed to and interact in a culture different from their own. The program is structured and designed to nurture the student’s prophetic imagination. This is one that compels individuals to critically challenge systematic structures and communicate God’s hope for restoration.

Spring Break 2020

Boston, MA: Go with us again to the heart of the city. This Spring break we will be partnering with ministries and organizations in the greater Boston area. Join Campus Kinder Haus Director, Nicole Caldwell, as she leads this team in learning about children who are affected by low-income and homeless situations. Go with us as we learn and serve alongside our neighbors this March.

The Rio Grande Valley, TX: Are you bilingual? Do you have a heart for immigration?

This March, step into life on the border, where two cultures become one.

Join this team as they head to Las Milpas, Texas. This area is a corridor for immigrant families from Mexico and Latin America who are working to build a new life in the United States. Serve alongside the local church just five miles from the border as you give in practical ways through work projects and outreach with the church, while also receiving from the locals as they extend hospitality and share their stories with you.

May Term 2020

Ndola, Zambia: This May, we will be returning to the Jubilee Center in Ndola, Zambia! Dr. Catherine Mueller-Bell and Coach Mark Bell will lead this team in soccer ministries, leading a psychology conference, participating in feeding ministries and Bible studies, and partnering once again with the Jubilee Center in their efforts to equip Christian leaders in their community.

DC: Do you enjoy worship? Do you love people? Journey with us this May to the heart of the nation as we partner with ministries throughout DC and the surrounding area. This team will be joining David’s Tent, a 24/7 outdoor worship gathering on the National Mall in DC. Serve alongside local churches and organizations who are making an impact year-round by working with people from all cultures and backgrounds.

Backpacking Trip: At the heart of the Fusion Program is a desire for students to be dislocated from their normal routines to become more aware of the ways that God is moving in and around them. Join this team, led by Matt Galiano-Williams, as they head to the wilderness. This Wilderness Pilgrimage will be an opportunity for you to get outside of your comfort zone and retreat from the busyness of routine.

Israel (Travel Course): Join our Religion and Culture department this May as they travel to Israel for the 2020 travel course. Encountering biblical stories in as near to their original geographic contexts as possible opens up the world of the Bible in ways that

reading the story alone may not. See some of the places that we read about in Scripture come alive as you experience the land of Israel and cross over into Middle Eastern culture.
