Scholarships
Eastern Nazarene College understands the importance of affordability when considering higher education options. The college offers scholarships and grants in recognition of students’ academic achievements in addition to need-based support. A student’s financial aid award is offered upon acceptance to the college.
All incoming freshmen receive a merit scholarship based on their GPA and SAT/ACT scores. The SAT is based on a total score of Evidence-Based Reading & Writing (EBRW) and Math. The ACT is based on a total score of English, Reading, Math, and Science.

$14,000 | Presidents Scholarship | Awarded to selected scholars who demonstrate academic excellence. |
$12,000 | Trustees Scholarship | Awarded to selected scholars who demonstrate high academic achievement. |
$10,000 | Dean Scholarship | Awarded to selected scholars who had demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, and have a commitment to diversity. |
$5,000 | Nazarene Scholarship | Awarded to students based on involvement with the Church of the Nazarene. |
$2,000 | Dependent of Pastor or Missionary Scholarship | Awarded to the dependent of full time pastors or missionaries. Must be indicated on application. |
$1,000-$5,000 | Endowed Scholarship | Awarded based on need or donor directives. |
$1,000 | Alumni Dependent Scholarship | Awarded to the dependents of ENC alumni. Must be indicated on application. |
$3,000 | QEP & BEP Scholarships | Awarded to local residents of Boston, Quincy, Weymouth, Randolph, Milton and Braintree. |
$1,000 | Multiple Student Scholarship | Awarded when two or more siblings attend ENC during the same academic year. |
$500 | Church Matching Scholarship | ENC will match a scholarship check from a church of any denomination up to $500 once per year. The church must complete the Church Matching Form. |
$250-$1,000 | The Lion’s Scholarship | First Step: Submit ALL application materials (including your FAFSA) by February 1st and receive a $250 Scholarship!
Second Step: After submitting ALL of your application materials, you would then submit your Enrollment Deposit by March 15th for your eligibility to receive a $1,000 Scholarship! Recipients will be selected on April 1st!! |
Institutional scholarships at Eastern Nazarene College can be applied only to tuition and may not generate a credit balance. Annual awards are distributed in two equal payments. Institutional scholarships require twelve credit hours each semester and are not awarded beyond eight full-time semesters. Scholarships are renewed in the fall semester of each academic year provided the student maintains the required GPA.
All eligible students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for institutional scholarships.
FAFSA ineligible students and international students must complete the International & FAFSA Ineligible Student Financial Aid Application to be considered for institutional scholarships.
