Symphonic Winds at ENC offers open rehearsals

Published: August 11, 2015

The music department at Eastern Nazarene College is pleased to announce that the Symphonic Winds, under the direction of Professor Stephen Bell, will hold open rehearsals on Wednesday, September 9, and Wednesday, September 16, 2015. These open rehearsals are for any adult or qualified high school instrumental player interested in rehearsing and performing quality wind ensemble arrangements. There are openings in all sections, but there is a particular need for trombone players. Rehearsals are located on the second floor of the Cove Fine Arts building located on Wendell Avenue. These open rehearsals begin at 6:30pm and will end at 8:30pm. Community players supplement the college students, bringing the ensemble numbers to about 40 to 45 players. There is no fee attached for community members and Eastern Nazarene College welcomes these adults to be part of the Symphonic Winds. High school players are welcomed, but must have a letter of recommendation from either a private instructor or band director.

For anyone who may be interested in this program or attending one of these open rehearsals, please contact the ENC Music Office at 617-745-3715 from 9am to 4pm, or Professor Bell at contacting the music office or Professor Bell, music can be ready for you upon arrival. Any questions regarding the program can be directed to Professor Bell, as well.
