Biographical Notes
Jennie Doane joined the Department of Biology and Chemistry staff in fall of 2017 as the Health Professions Coordinator. She is also an instructor at ENC and has taught Introduction to Public Health as well as Principles of Biology. She has been working on starting the new Health Science Major at ENC and coordinating pathways for ENC students to enter the various healthcare related fields.
She has previously served at a Compassionate Ministry Center in Syracuse, N.Y as the Director of Health Ministries and Outreach where she focused on health education, faith community nursing. Prior to this, she worked as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant RN. She is a certified Nurse Practitioner and educated Faith Community Nurse coordinator. She also serves as a district licensed minister in The Church of the Nazarene. She also has certifications in Chronic Disease Management, Quality Improvement, and End of Life Care. Her research interests include community health education and promotion, specifically in underserved areas. She is passionate about reaching underserved populations, as well as helping people discover and apply their passions and talents. Jennie resides in Quincy, MA with her husband and four children.
