Members of the ENC History Department attended the 2014 Conference on Faith and History on September 25-27 at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. The theme of the 2014 conference was “Christian Historians and their Publics.” Two senior history majors presented research papers during the undergraduate portion of the conference – Jake McAuliffe presented on witchcraft beliefs in early modern England, and Magean Bourne presented on Eastern Nazarene College and its history at the Conference on Faith and History.
Professors Bill McCoy and Donald Yerxa also participated in the conference. Professor McCoy participated in a lunchtime roundtable discussion entitled “Why I Love/Hate the History Channel”, and Professor Yerxa chaired a session on “The Place of Mystery in Human Affairs.” Maegan Bourne and Bill McCoy also presented at the conference in 2012.
