Dr. Jim Harrington of the Adult and Graduate Studies division presented to the faculty and staff of Bristol Community College at their Spring 2013 Professional Day. The presentation was entitled “The Adult Learner and the First Year College Experience” discussing over thirty years of research on the Adult Learner, the emergence of the Adult Studies model, and how the unique qualities of “Adults as Learners” effect teaching and learning.
Dr. Lowell H. Hall (Chemistry) has recent publications of an invited book chapter and three journal articles. In the first journal article is co-author with his long time research partner Dr. Lemont B. Kier of The Virginia Commonwealth University. Three journal articles and the book chapter are coauthored with his son L. Mark Hall (’93) and scientists from the University of Connecticut, School of Pharmacy, resulting from research done under a joint NIH sponsored research project.
