ENC Names Rev. Montague Williams College Chaplain

March 17, 2016

MontagueENC is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Montague Williams as chaplain of the college.

In his new role, Rev. Williams will lead efforts to strengthen the connection between the college’s Office of Spiritual Development and the Division of Religion and Philosophy, which he currently chairs.

“I believe this opportunity to reunite ENC’s efforts in theological formation and theological education is quite timely,” Rev. Williams says. “It’s an important move as our college students prepare for lay and vocational leadership in the life of the church in society.”

Rev. Williams first came to the ENC campus in 2009 as a speaker and adjunct professor before joining the college’s tenure-track faculty in 2012. Under his leadership, the division has created a new major in Intercultural Studies and Mission and a summer conference for high school students who sense a call toward missions. He holds an MA and BA in Religion from Olivet Nazarene University and a Masters of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary. He is currently completing a PhD in Theological Studies at Boston University.

Please join us in offering your congratulations and prayers to Rev. Williams, his wife, Jennie, and their newborn daughter, Sophia!
