Eastern Nazarene College and the South Shore YMCA Expand their Historic Partnership

Aug 10, 2022

Quincy, MA – Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) announces the expansion of their partnership with the South Shore YMCA to further enhance the student experience.

As long-standing community partners, both organizations look forward to working together to provide access to YMCA facilities and health and wellness resources that will enrich the well-being of ENC’s student body. Through this partnership, all undergraduate and graduate students at ENC’s Quincy campus will be eligible for free South Shore YMCA memberships at the start of the fall 2022 semester and through the end of the 2023 spring semester.

“At ENC, we share the value of being Student-Centered and Boston-Centered – and this partnership captures both of these commitments beautifully, said Dr. Ian Slater, Vice President of Student Life at ENC. Free memberships at the extraordinary South Shore YMCA facilities will help our students enjoy a quality-of-life enhancement that few small colleges can offer. It’s a delight to be neighbors to the South Shore YMCA and offer our students this benefit.”

“The Y exists to strengthen community and improve lives,” said Katelyn Szafir, Executive Director of the South Shore YMCA branch in Quincy, “and we are thrilled that our partnership with Eastern Nazarene College will expand our Y community as we introduce students to a place where they can connect and grow stronger in spirit, mind, and body.”

To enroll, ENC students will need to complete an application and submit it to the South Shore YMCA. Applications are available by emailing Student Life at StudentLife@enc.edu or visiting the Residence Life and Housing Office in the Student Center.
