Alumnus Kurt Heckman (84), a high-tech entrepreneur, will be the featured speaker at Eastern Nazarene College’s annual Warren Business Forum lecture on Tuesday, November 18 at 6:30 pm in the Mann Student Center. Members of the local business community are invited to attend this free presentation and can register online.
Titled “Rising with Innovation,” the 2014 forum will feature guest speaker Kurt Heckman, president of vCalc, an online web-based calculator and comprehensive database for all things math-related. Heckman worked in the engineering field for 12 years before becoming the president and co-founder of Sycamore Services, a software service company that provided the federal government and commercial clients with software engineering and communications solutions. The company also provided aerospace and cyber-security software to clients such as NASA and General Electric.
Sponsored by the Eastern Nazarene College Business Division, the Warren Business Forum aims to share inspiration, enthusiasm and a commitment to ethical business practices with both college students and the business community. The event is named in honor of ENC alumnus and business executive John Warren (class of 1934), who believed that people are led by God into business and professional lives as well as into church ministry and missionary work.
