2014-07-31 The ENC Fund fiscal year goal of $262,500 (a 5% increase over last year’s goal) was achieved thanks to the faithful support of ENC’s alumni and friends! The most recent mailing for the ENC Fund helped achieve the goal by offering a 1:1 match for any funds raised from May 1 to June 3

Over 140 incoming students made their way to ENC for VIP Orientation on July 11 and 12. Students and families met with enrollment counselors as they registered for the event-filled weekend.

The women’s and men’s tennis teams were both recognized by the International Tennis Association (ITA) with the All-Academic Team Award, which is open to any member program with a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or above. Seven women and five men were also named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2013-2014 academic year.

At Eastern Nazarene College, in addition to the numerous courses offered on campus throughout the academic year, students have the opportunity to expand the classroom both nationally and across the world. In May, professor Jonathan Twining and his Field Problems in Ecology class explored Hawaii and Dr. Matthew Waterman’s Epoch Making Events in Science (EMES) course toured the British Isles in June.

Eastern Nazarene College welcomed Wollaston and Quincy neighbors to campus for the annual Neighborhood Appreciation Day event. This year saw the largest number of visitors and welcomed local sponsors for food and fun, such as Pad Thai, Sweet Frog, Tony’s House of Pizza, and Quincy Credit Union.

Dr. Corlis McGee was unanimously reappointed president of Eastern Nazarene College at the college’s recent Board of Trustees meeting.
History professors Dr. Ben Cater and Bill McCoy recently contributed to their academic field.
