COVID-19 Testing Center Manager (Part Time)

Eastern Nazarene College, a fully accredited Christian liberal arts college on Boston’s south shore, is seeking a part time (approximately 20-30 hours/week, Monday-Thursday, January 18 – May 13)) COVID-19 Testing Center Manager to manage the College’s COVID-19 Testing Center for residential students and other members of the college community who have been identified through contact tracing efforts.  Reporting to the Director of Health Services, you will assist in the delivery of services to students and in implementing COVID-19 response plans.  This position supports the work of Health Services and works in accordance with the mission, core Christian values, and purposes of the College.

responsibilities

  • Manage COVID-19 Testing Center  including: pre-sample collection preparations, observing sample collection, processing sample information, and preparing samples for shipment to the College’s laboratory partner (the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard).
  • Manage staffing of COVID-19 Testing Center including weekly scheduling, daily assignments and student worker training and supervision.
  • Assist Health Services in contact tracing efforts as needed.
  • Assist Health Services in monitoring students in isolation and quarantine via telehealth platform as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the work of Health Services.

requirements

  • RN, LPN, EMT or NP licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Supervisory/managerial experience necessary. 
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and a proficiency in learning new programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to provide strong team leadership
  • Experience working with young adults and organizational colleagues in a positive, productive, and professional manner.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Proven commitment to community health education.
  • A strong and vibrant Christian faith that connects to the mission, vision, and values of the college is required.

Lifestyle Guidelines

Our lifestyle guidelines reflect the “Articles of Faith and “Agreed Statement of Belief” of the Church of the Nazarene and the Mission Statement of Eastern Nazarene College. The premise of our lifestyle guidelines is to exemplify such personal, moral, and religious conduct as shall be above reproach. This lifestyle premise is for everyone working and living on campus: students, faculty, staff, and administration. This lifestyle premise is a rationale for desirable behavior and attitudes. To be in accord with the purposes and spirit of the College and with the doctrines and standards of the Church of the Nazarene, our lifestyle practices exclude: drinking alcoholic beverages, engaging in sexual acts with anyone other than your spouse, viewing pornographic and violent videos/movies, using illegal drugs or misuse of prescription drugs, participating in gambling, or using tobacco in any form. The College also asks employees to follow dress code guidelines. The College expects all employees to live by this lifestyle premise.
