January Blizzard Shuts Down Campus
Published: January 13, 2011
The ENC campus was buried in a blanket of white when a Nor’easter hit New England on January 12, 2011, canceling the first day of classes for the spring semester. 14.6 inches of snow fell at Logan International Airport in Boston, a dozen miles from campus, while other areas of New England saw as much as 2 feet of snow. The Facilities Department worked hard to clear the snow and ice as it continued to blow around and pile up throughout the day. Several snow forts appeared on campus, as well as a snowman complete with ENC gear!
