Honors Scholar Weekend at ENC
Published: March 1, 2011
ENC welcomed 28 high school students for the annual Honors Scholar Weekend, February 24-26.
The Honors Scholars and their families had opportunities to interact with ENC students, faculty and staff, attend classes, chapel, and explore Boston’s Museum of Science and the Prudential Center. Students engaged with faculty members in their prospective departments, asked questions about programs and learned about academic opportunities at ENC and in the greater Boston area.
They also chose an evening activity between attending the winter theater production of “The Glass Menagerie” or attending a “Writer’s Talk” with author Rachel Evans sponsored by the Honors Scholar Society. Current ENC Honors Scholars gave presentations illustrating the many available opportunities both on campus, on the South Shore and in Boston and also hosted students in their dorm rooms throughout the weekend.
