The Frontiers of Science Conferences sponsored by The Gordon Research Conferences has notified Professor Lowell Hall (Chemistry, ’59) that he has been accepted at the Conference on Computer-Aided Drug Design to be held in Mt Snow, VT in July. Dr Hall has been a regular invited attendee of the bi-annual conference since 1977. L. Mark Hall (Hall Associates Consulting, ‘93) has been notified that he is also accepted. Prof Hall and his son Mark will present their early work sponsored by the NIH grant (jointly with University of Connecticut, School of Pharmacy) on use of their modeling methods for chemical identification of human metabolites.
Environmental Science professor Jonathan Twining’s article on water scarcity issues will be published in the July issue of NCM Magazine. He also made a presentation to about 30 members of the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Trail Watch group about vernal pools last Sunday at their annual meeting and pancake breakfast.
