With hurricane Henri expected Sunday into Monday, please monitor your ENC email and sign up for ENC alerts.
—
As we head into this weekend, I wanted to alert our community to the incoming inclement weather affecting campus operations. Hurricane Henri is projected to affect our area on Sunday and Monday. The storm is expected to result in high winds, flooding, power outages, and a storm surge on the shore.
We will be monitoring the situation closely and providing updates, primarily through your ENC email.
Some important notes:
- Please take appropriate precautions, including closing windows and ensuring devices are on power strips (or are unplugged).
- Employees who have difficulty traveling to work on Monday due to flooding and/or road closures should discuss with their supervisor whether remote work is appropriate on Monday.
- In the event of an ongoing power outage or severe flooding, ENC and Campus Kinder Haus may be closed on Monday. Such a decision would be made no later than 6:30a.m. and communicated via email to the community.
Although we anticipate that ENC email will be the primary method of communicating updates and instructions, this is a good opportunity for a reminder to sign up for ENC Alerts. To learn more, click here. To sign up, click here, then select “Sign Up” at the top-right of the page to create a new account and add your contact information.
In case of an emergency, please contact ENC Security at 617-745-3911 or the Quincy Police by dialing 911.
Blessings,
