Campus Health: You Make the Difference

Welcome to the Fall 2020 Academic Semester!  We are excited to start this new year with you. To those of you on campus, thank you for working hard to keep our campus community safe and healthy.  To those of you learning from home – we miss you and pray that you and your family are doing well!

We are proud of our on campus students efforts to live into our COVID-19 protocols.  We are very pleased with your commitment to wearing your face masks – we’ve had to remind very few students and for that we are grateful.  We encourage you to keep working on social distancing.  We’ll be putting up some more signage in coming days to help give you further guidance.  Please feel empowered to remind each to distance where possible and keep sporting those masks. If a staff member stops to remind you of our community protocols remember this is all part of our collective effort to minimize COVID-19 exposure and keep each other healthy.

COVID-19 Testing Dashboard

COVID-19 Testing has been going well.  Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we continue enhance our testing processes and systems.  We are pleased with the testing process to date and have now moved into ongoing surveillance testing.  In the spirit of transparency, we have created a testing dash board that will be updated weekly.  This shows the total number of test administered and the corresponding results.  To view the dash board please visit: https://enc.edu/covid-19-campus-testing/

Training and Daily Screenings

If you have not already done so please complete the Student and/or Employee COVID-19 Training Course in Canvas.  Students you were notified about this training through an email from me, Jeff Kirksey, dated Friday, August 28th.  Both student learning on campus and learning on-line are required to complete the training course by September 11, 2020.

If you are having trouble accessing the course please contact:

Student access issues – StudentLife@enc.edu

Employee access issues – hr@enc.edu

Remember to do a daily self-screening of symptoms.  You will soon be able to do this through an easy to use app (one for students and one for employees), but in the mean- time please take a few minutes every morning before coming to work or going to class to conduct a quick symptoms self-screening.

Online Resources

The College continues to maintain an active website with timely information related to COVID-19 and institutional response.  This informative site can be found at: https://enc.edu/fall-2020-reopening-plans/
