CONGRATULATIONS!
We have made it half-way through the semester with no COVID outbreaks! This is a reason to celebrate and is a major milestone as we work toward completing a healthy semester of on-campus learning. This is due in large part to you practicing the COVID-19 protocols. Thank you for your diligent efforts! Let’s finish strong!

This is Hard
Even while we celebrate reaching the middle of the semester with very few on-campus COVID cases, we know that this is not without cost. These protocols put real constraints on how we would normally interact with and care for one another. This is a different school year that presents real social and emotional challenges.
- Are you feeling lonely?
- Are you struggling to be motivated to leave your room?
- Are you mourning the loss of what you thought the semester would be?
If you can answer yes to any of these questions, know that you are not alone. It takes effort to acknowledge these feelings and even more effort to address them. We encourage you to talk about how you are feeling with a friend, a member of the residence life staff, a faculty member, colleague or a counselor in the Brickley Center. Be encouraged that you are not alone, be encouraged by our collective efforts to stay healthy, but also be willing to reach out to others within the community and allow them to journey with you. You are LOVED!
Testing Update
We are excited to be bringing on Eilse Pierre-Louis, RN to manage our Testing Center! Please know that we will be reducing testing hours M-W next week as we onboard Eilse. We plan to resume regular hours on Thursday. Thanks for joining us in welcoming Eilse! Sincere thanks to Patsy Malas and her student team for holding down the fort and making testing possible – we can’t thank you enough!
To view the status of testing and recovery please visit the testing dash board at: https://enc.edu/covid-19-campus-testing/
The dash board is updated every Friday by 5 PM.
Travel Restrictions
Remember (students and employees) you should eliminate non-essential travel to high-risk states and international locations in compliance with the Governor’s Travel Order.
If you must travel to a high-risk state, you must notify residence life (complete the Travel Form – if a campus resident, including Young and Munro GAs and renters) or your supervisor (if an employee) of your trip so a re-entry plan can be established that complies with the Massachusetts Order.
Please note that a re-entry plan must be established prior to departure. If you do not have a re-entry plan established, do not return to campus and contact Health Services during regular business hours Monday-Friday at (617) 745-3893 to arrange your re-entry.
Not complying with the Massachusetts Travel Order could result in a $500 fine.
Online Resources
The College continues to maintain an active website with timely information related to COVID-19 and institutional response. This informative site can be found at: https://enc.edu/fall-2020-reopening-plans/
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire ENC family across the world as we navigate these trying times. Above all we are grateful for a God who is present in our daily lives and who demonstrates to us how to love and live.
