Chemistry Students Join Dr. Williams in Publishing Research
Published: April 15, 2013
Three chemistry students were published alongside Dr. Joseph Williams in the Chemical Sciences Journal in March, 2013. Authored by Sam Son (15), Mikel Bui (13), Ryan Racette (14), and Dr. Williams, the peer-reviewed journal article is entitled “Non-stoichiometric Green Organic Complexes of Caffeine” and can be found in Chemical Sciences Journal, volume 2013. The research is concerning the preliminary work on the green complexes formed by caffeine with maleic anhydride and other organic compounds and is a follow-up of Son’s and Bui’s presentation at the American Chemistry Society’s (ACS) New England Regional Meeting (NERM) in Rochester, NY last fall.
