Admissions Analyst


Eastern Nazarene College, a four-year Christian liberal arts college on Boston’s south shore, is seeking an Admissions Analyst.  Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, you will be integral in the development, support and success of the campus Student Information System [SIS], particularly as it relates to recruitment systems and processes.  You will work closely with traditional and nontraditional enrollment teams in addition to Institutional Research and Effectiveness [IR].  You must possess a customer-centered attitude and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment that serves a diverse population, and must support the traditions and values of Christian higher education in a busy educational institution.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with the Traditional and Nontraditional enrollment teams as well as IR 
    • Develop workflows and business processes that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
    • Research and implement new solutions for improved marketing to prospective students
    • Document procedures for student recruitment, data management and data usage processes 
    • Develop and execute reports on key performance indicators and targeted initiatives
    • Develop and support processes for the enrollment communication plan including mailings, e-mail campaigns, text messages and supporting calls
    • Process files from external sources such as importing purchased data
    • Research, develop, test and implement additional features and functions of the SIS, in particular as it relates to enrollment
    • Develop and deliver training for new and existing staff on the admissions CRM [Ellucian Recruit]
    • Other duties as required


  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative or technically oriented field
    • Experience with Ellucian Recruit [Microsoft Dynamics CRM] or willingness to participate in training
    • Ability to compile data and run reports using appropriate tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • May serve as a backup to other IR staff as appropriate and where skills are applicable
    • Detail oriented, analytical and accurate
    • Self-motivated and able to work within a team structure as well as independently
    • Strong work ethic able to function in team environment providing consistent excellent service to constituents
    • Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to work independently and proactively 
    • Communicate effectively and maintain a positive rapport with faculty and staff
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the maturity necessary to work effectively with staff of varied backgrounds, skills and personalities in order to achieve key objectives
    • Commitment to a Faith Community and integrates the following Mission and Vision Statement, and the Defining Values of Eastern Nazarene College in every aspect of the work environment
