Classification is based upon the total credit hours earned that is calculated prior to the beginning of each semester.
The table below shows the credits that must be earned to achieve each level of classification:

To update classification in the middle of semester, the Registrar's Office must receive a written request signed by the student indicating the change that should be made and the reason the change is needed. If credit hours are validated and the reason for the request cannot wait until the end of the current semester, then the classification will be updated by the Registrar's Office.
